Focal renews its K2 Power Range of iconic in-car audio kits

Focal unveils its new for 2023 K2 Power line, refreshing the legendary range with speaker drivers that deliver pure hi-fi sound.

Evolving alongside Focal’s innovation, K2 Power continues to forge its legend with this 4th generation of speaker drivers. With the iconic yellow cone and pure hi-fi sound: the K2 Power kits are dedicated to car and music lovers. Manufactured in Focal’s workshops, the range includes 10 products: a coaxial kit, five 2-way component kits, one 3-way component kit and three subwoofers. It encompasses all of Focal’s expertise and innovations to deliver even greater performance. Features include kits fitted with a FRAK tweeter to give your system unprecedented dynamics. Designed like a speaker driver (TMD® surround, progressive profile spider), it provides a unique sound experience inside the vehicle. Equipped with an ‘M’-profile cone, it combines aluminium – enabling enhanced frequency lowering – with magnesium, working together to elevate the high-performance treble. Another major development shallow depth kits, SUB 25 KXS and ES 165 K2S, making them highly compact without losing energy. As for the design, K2 Power has had a makeover: modernised and updated aesthetics, a black finish to highlight the K2 cone and a black textured finish on the TKME tweeter.

THE BEST OF FOCAL

K2 Power stands apart due to its attributes that have made, still make, and will always make it a success: the great aramid fibre K2 sandwich cone. This Focal innovation ensures rigidity, lightness, and damping; the three essentials of a good speaker driver. Initially developed for the range of high-end Sopra loudspeakers, the TMD® (Tuned Mass Damper) surround and to drastically reduce the distortion associated with deformation of the cone. The speaker drivers take advantage of this midranges. Also composed of a K2 sandwich cone in aramid fibre, the TKME tweeter has an ‘M’-profile allowing better control of cone deformation and precise reproduction of high frequencies up to 22kHz.
